PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The system consists of:
A) Five (5) Local Station of Type A which have been placed in water drillings and water tanks, are shown below:
- LCS 1: Water drilling Tzevelakas
- LCS 2: Theodorakopoulos
- LCS 3: Snt Leontios
- LCS 4: Stasinopoulos
- LCS 5: Central Water Tank
The Local Control Stations (LCS), monitor the measured values (inlet pressure level) and transfer all measured data to the existing Central Control Station (CCS) located in control station building of the W.W.T.P. in Aigio.
They also monitor and collect information of pumping stations in each local station and transfer the operating modes to CCS as well as the instructions from the operators.
The communication of the Local Stations with the CCS is done via a mobile GPRS network.At the LCS 5 , which is an existing station, a flow meter, the necessary hydraulic equipment and the necessary changes to the program were added.
Β) Two (2) Local Stations of Type B , which have been placed at the entrances of the zones we have to monitor, are being also placed individually inside a manhole, energy independent for at least 5 years, consisting of:
- flow meter,
- pressure measuring instruments,
- automatic pressure-relief valve and set-point change of output pressure in relation to the flow rate,
- Energy autonomous unit for collecting and sending measurements (data loggers),
- all hydraulic materials required
Those stations are collecting measurements and faults from the flow or pressure meters and through in/out communication, are being transferred via mobile network GSM in the Central Control Station.
C) One (1) Central Control Station (CCS) in which the operators via tele-control/remote control software (SCADA) can monitor and collect the operating status of the Local Stations.
Benefits of the Remote Control and Remote Management System:
This system monitors and records the flow and pressure at the entrances of the zones of the internal water supply network, as well as the proper functioning of the boreholes and reservoirs. It is an extension of the existing monitoring system operated by the DEYA Aigio for the control of the reservoirs.
In more detail, the system provides the service with the following:
- Possession and full control of plant components.
- Prevent unnecessary waste of water.
- Reducing the time of damage recovery.
- Avoid overflows as well as over-drilling of water drillings.
- Save electricity as well as water resources.
- Manage the employees better and more efficiently.
Except to provide high quality services to the citizen, helps and protects the water resources of the area, by reducing the leakages and dealing with lack of water.
