With the signature of Constrat the most important irrigation project for Corinthia amounting to 1.781.999€

Constrat, a pioneer in the design and implementation of AMR & IoT applications for water saving, undertook one of the most important irrigation projects for mountainous Corinthia and more specifically for the area of Feneos.

With a project budget of around €1,800,000, Constrat signed a project contract for the “Water and energy saving of the irrigation network of the Feneou TOEB with modernization of the electromechanical equipment and supply, installation and commissioning of an electronic water intake system with billing card, remote control and leakage”.

The main objectives of the project are: the modernization of the electromechanical equipment and the optimization of the management of the irrigation wells of the TOEB Feneos, with the aim of reducing leaks, reducing the quantities of water pumped, protecting the aquifer and reducing the energy consumption of the irrigation network of the TOEB Feneos.

The delivery of the project will benefit 35,000 acres of crops for the mountain villages of the Municipality of Sikyonia and the seven local communities of Goura, Messinou, Mosia, Ancient Feneos, Panorama, Feneos & Mati.

Mr. Anastasios Gioilis, Vice Prefect of Corinthia, said: "An important day for our villages and our region. In 18 months the rural world will see the project become a reality and in accordance with my priorities and of course those of the Regional Governor, Dimitris Ptochos, we will continue to stand by the side of the farmers."

The president of TOEB Feneos, Mr. Kostas Kouroousias, stressed: "We are very pleased that the project has been contracted after so long. We thank the elected officials, the deputy regional governor Mr. Gioli and of course the services that were particularly involved. The TOEB Feneos is the largest in the prefecture of Corinthia with predominantly rural income and this project is of the highest priority and need."
