CONTRACT SIGNING OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF AGIOS VASILIOS.
Contract signing for the implementation titled:
‘’Supply, installation and startup a system of the remote-control and leak detection of the water supply network of the municipality of Agios Vasilios and replacement-extension of the water supply network of p.c. Asomatos’’

The purpose of the system is the continuous monitoring and overseeing important parameters of the water supply system (supply, pressure, etc.) the collection and storage of relevant historical data of the water supply system’s elements. The suggested system, provides the creation of an information collection system, supervisory control, automation, management and intervention in the operation of the facility consisting of a Central Control System, from which integrated water resources are managed, via electronic mapping of the water transport/distribution network, interconnected, through wireless communication devices with:
- 25 Local Control Stations of the external network
- 100 Consumer Control Stations
More specifically, the implementation includes:
- Detailed design of the offered integrated system
- Supply and installation of Central Control System’s electronic material (server, client, printers, projection screens etc.) as well as software’s application
- Procurement and installation of 25 Control Stations for the External Network, along with the required equipment for them.
- Procurement and installation of 7,100 Consumption Control Stations (CCS), along with the required equipment for them.
- Procurement and installation of all the software required for the operation of the system.
- Supply and installation of all communications equipment, including any transponders - antennas required for the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the system, as well as the submission of applications for the granting of approvals by the competent services of communication systems or any other services or bodies required
- Supply and installation of all instruments mentioned in the study (level, flow, pressure, etc.)
- Factory acceptance tests and on-site acceptance tests (field tests)
- Tests of completion of the work and delivery of the system
- Delivery of drawings, operation and maintenance manuals (documentation)
- Training of service staff in the operations, support and maintenance of the system.
- Free warranty / maintenance of good operation for the period after the final quantitative and qualitative acceptance of the supply (system), which is stated in the technical offer and evaluated
The sending of the above data from the local stations to the Central Control Station, located at the offices of the Technical Service of the Municipality of Ag.Vassiliou will be done through wireless communication.
Through the procurement of the proposed system, the Municipality of Agios Vasileios aims to:
- To improve the services provided to the consumers.
- To provide a solution to the water supply issues it has been facing so far, which concern:
- Ensuring the quantities of water that are always sufficient to cover a reasonable level of consumption.
- The preservation and maintenance of the quality of the aquifer and the quality of the supplied water, avoiding phenomena and conditions of over-extraction, which result in the continuous supply of water that meets the quality standards prescribed by law, through a distribution network and under the necessary pressure.
- To serve the consumers in a direct and effective manner.
The project presents a comprehensive proposal for reducing leaks in the internal and external networks of the Municipality of Agios Vasileios, as the telemetering system under development will monitor the external water supply network, including the wells and tanks that supply the settlements of the Municipality of Agios Vasileios, while the wireless sensor system will detect leaks in the internal water supply network.
