Contract signing for the implementation titled:
‘’Supply, installation and startup a system of the remote-control and leak detection of the water supply network of the municipality of Agios Vasilios and replacement-extension of the water supply network of p.c. Asomatos’’

The purpose of the system is the continuous monitoring and overseeing important parameters of the water supply system (supply, pressure, etc.) the collection and storage of relevant historical data of the water supply system’s elements. The suggested system, provides the creation of an information collection system, supervisory control, automation, management and intervention in the operation of the facility consisting of a Central Control System, from which integrated water resources are managed, via electronic mapping of the water transport/distribution network, interconnected, through wireless communication devices with:
- 25 Local Control Stations of the external network
- 100 Consumer Control Stations
More specifically, the implementation includes:
- Detailed design of the offered integrated system
- Supply and installation of Central Control System’s electronic material (server, client, printers, projection screens etc.) as well as software’s application
- Supply and installation of the External Network Control Stations, as well as their required equipment
- Supply and installation of 7.100 Consumer Control Stations, as well as their required equipment
- Supply and installation of all the required software for the system’s operation
- Supply and installation of all the communication equipment, including any antennas may be required, for the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the system, as well as the submission of applications, for the granting of approvals by the competent authorities of communication systems or any other authorities or entities are required
- Supply and installation of any appliances mentioned in the study (level, supply, pressure meters etc.)
- Factory acceptance tests an acceptance tests on the spot
- Completion tests and system delivery
- Delivery of plans, operating and maintenance manuals.
- Training of the staff on system’s functions, system’s support and maintenance.
- Free warranty / good maintenance for the period after the final quantitative and qualitative receipt of the supply (system), which is mentioned in the technical offer and is evaluated.
The delivery of the above data from the local stations to the Central Control Station, which is located at the offices of the technical service of the Municipality of Agios Vasilios will be done via wireless communication.
Through the supply of the suggested system, the Municipality of Agios Vasilios seeks:
- To improve its services to consumers
- To provide a solution to the water problems it is facing so far and they concern:
- The insurance of water’s quantities that are able to cover a reasonable level of consumption at any one time
- The preserving and the maintaining of the water-table’s quality and the quality of the offered water, avoiding over-pumping conditions, leading to the uninterrupted water supply, which meets the quality standards required by law, through a distribution network and under the necessary pressure
- Serving consumers directly and efficiently
The implementation presents a complete suggestion to reduce leaks of the internal and external networks of the Municipality of Agios Vasilios, considering that with the developing telemetry system will be able to control the external water supply network, namely the drillings and the tanks that supply the settlements of the Municipality of Agios Vasilios, while the wireless sensor system, will detect leaks in the internal water supply network.
