But small changes in daily habits can make a significant contribution to water saving water, so:

  • Immediately repair any leaks that come to your attention in the home (flushing toilets, taps etc.).
  • Wash your car(s) at infrequent intervals, without a hose and using a bucket and sponge.
  • Water your balcony plants and flowers with a watering can, either in the early morning hours or after sunset.
  • Don’t turn on the sink and kitchen taps on all the way if you can be served with less water.
  • Use the washing machines and dishwashers only when full, adjusting them on the economy program and avoiding frequent use for a few clothing or dishes.
  • Don’t leave the taps on when brushing your teeth, shaving or soaping dishes.
  • Prefer to shower instead of filling your bathtub to wash your body.
  • Take care of your children and don’t let them waste water by playing with the taps on in your house.
